Last season, CORE’s soccer team had an amazing score of winning fourteen games, losing only six, and drawing one game, earning them third place in the league. Due to the team having seven seniors and a few players that have been playing for multiple years, the coach, Christopher Spears believes that “…this was the most experienced team that CORE has ever had.” The team has overall good players.
What should we expect next season? Player Adrik Dyer will become a team captain for the next season and a ton of the older players will graduate as they were seniors. I can only assume that next season’s team will be even better as all the previous players have gotten better and they will have a team captain with a lot of experience.
How was last season? According to coach Spears, last season had great team dynamics and chemistry while playing competitive. As a coach he believed that there could still be improvement but he still thinks that the team worked well. Adrik Dyer says that he thinks, “…The biggest team accomplishment was probably placing third in the league.” He also thought that it was sad only placing third because “the team that was in third beat us after we had beaten them multiple times in a row.” The team is shooting for first next year and Adrik believes it is possible.
