Some of you may be asking what exactly eSports is, and to that, here’s an answer: eSports is the competitive playing of video games, such as Counter-Strike, Valorant, Overwatch, and a few others. Here at CORE, they play Smash Bros. The club does compete against other schools, although they don’t meet up with them in person.
According to one member, they practice by playing games amongst themselves. The club meets at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Cordova’s class. There are six members on the team, although around 10–12 other people regularly attend the meetings.
The club is all about having fun and enjoying the thrill of gaming. It’s not too late to join, as every club is open and willing to accept new members. If you’re interested, stop by one of the meetings and see if it’s a fit for you.
