Upcoming CORE Butte Art Show!

The annual Core Butte art show is starting up may 1st, it will show the art of the talent that we have at Core Butte. Ranging from photography, beautiful paintings, sculptures, and pencil art. This year is going to be different, Band, Art Media Theory, and ASB will all be showing at the neighborhood church. This awesome day will go from 4:30-6:30 in the Neighborhood Church-Fellowship Hall, there will be great music while looking around at the good sights.This year’s art show will be the start of a great thing, being able to walk through the hall looking at great pieces of art from our very own students. The music that will accompany that art will be our band class playing great music. and eating good food too. You will have to pay for the food but it won’t be that much, hosted by our ASB you can either use cash or card. There will be roses you can buy as well for the theater class fundraiser being only cash only.Here’s some of the great artistic students that we have at Core Butte.

Vince Blank, a Fellow Core Butte sophomore, drew this amazing character saying “this character is from one of my favorite games Gunfire Reborn. A FPS game with some fun characters, his name is Crown Prince or sometimes known as “the Cat”, he throws elemental grenades and has a gun”. With all the new things happening to the new art show I asked Vince what he thinks about the new way we are going to do the art show, he said “I think it is cool that everyone from all these classes are working together to make a nice experience. Also the fact that thesnacks make it better.”

Josh Metzger a Core Butte Junior has made this piece for his dog he says “This sketch of my dog focuses on value, and using a grid to map out the drawing is a technique we learned in Art class. This was one of the drawing I really put effort into because my dog is awesome” with the new form of art show that is coming up I asked him what are his thoughts about it he said “I think it is giving the opportunity for the art student and the music students to bring together some of the wonders of our school, we have some talented students and I think it’s cool to bring it together.”The fact that we the students get to show off is amazing and will give them more ambition to draw more or pursue something they love.
