The first face that many CORE students see upon entering the building is the smiling visage of Lisa Morgan, affectionately reffered to as the “front desk lady” by the student body. Her positivity helps start the long school day on a good note as she welcomes students in with a smile on her face.
She does far more than just start of the day for many students, serving the CORE community in a myriad of different ways. Injured and in need of a band-aid? Better head to the front desk and get one from Lisa. Have a form that you need to pick up to sign? Off to the front desk with you. Need to buy a ticket for an upcoming event? You know it by now, the front desk is your port of call. Need help from your English teacher but you don’t know where to find him? Believe it or not, Lisa can help you with that as well.
Her tireless efforts to help both students and staff make the most out of their time at CORE is born out of her genuine love for the community. When asked about her favorite part of running the front desk at CORE, Lisa described how she enjoyed Tuesday and Thursday mornings, “That’s when all of you guys are here and I can see your faces.”
