It was a tough night for the CORE Butte Lynx on Thursday as they faced the Quincy Trojans. After a close battle earlier in the week against Trinity, the Lynx couldn’t get much going this time and fell 4 – 0.
Quincy jumped ahead early, scoring three goals in the first half and then adding one more after the break. The Lynx kept working, but the ball just wouldn’t bounce their way.
The loss moves CORE Butte to 2 – 4 on the season, while Quincy improves to 4 – 3. The Lynx are now 1 – 1 in league play.
This is the second time the Lynx have lost to Quincy this season, as a month ago, the Trojans scored 5 – 0. Good news: CORE will get another shot when Quincy comes to Chico on the 30th.
