Tomorrow marks a big day for CORE Butte athletics with the official ribbon-cutting for the brand-new sports complex. The celebration kicks off at 2:45 p.m. with live music, a free hot dog BBQ, and a chance for students to run the first lap around the new track. The ribbon will be cut at 3:15, officially opening the facility for CORE Butte athletes.
Right after the ceremony, the action moves to the field as the CORE Butte soccer team plays against Quincy at 4:00 p.m. Quincy has already beaten CORE twice this season, but this time the Lynx will have a true home-field advantage.
The day continues with volleyball at 5:30 p.m., as both JV and Varsity face Redding Christian High School over at the gymnasium.
From the ribbon cutting to the back-to-back games, tomorrow is set to be a milestone for CORE Butte athletics and a chance for the community to come out and show support.
Make sure to wear blue!
