Thursday is a busy day for CORE Butte sports, with both soccer and volleyball taking on Paradise Adventist Academy.
Soccer kicks things off at 4:00 p.m. on the new field. CORE Butte comes in 3–5 overall, while the cougars are 7–3–1 and undefeated in league (6–0–1). PAA already beat CORE once this season, 7–2 back on September 9th, but the Lynx are looking sharper after their tough fight with Quincy.
Later that night, varsity volleyball also goes against Paradise for a 6:00 p.m. match. So far, they sit at 13–6, with the Cougars close at 13–5. Leaders like Reagan Coates, Mara Gonzalez, and Macey Ascherman have carried CORE through a strong season so far, and this matchup looks like it could go either way.
Two big games, same opponent. Thursday should be a fun night to watch CORE Butte compete.
