The CORE Butte soccer team continues its playoff run Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Quincy for the next round of the Pioneer League playoffs. The match kicks off at 4:00 p.m.
CORE Butte is coming off a strong 5-1 win over Portola, a game highlighted by sharp passing and control of possession. The team has now scored 13 goals in its last three matches, showing plenty of offensive momentum at the right time. Quincy, however, will be a big challenge. The Trojans have already beaten CORE Butte multiple times this season and are also coming off a commanding 10-1 win over Portola. The Lynx will need to stay composed defensively and capitalize on their scoring chances if they want to advance.
Later in the evening, CORE Butte volleyball hits the road to face Chester High School at 5:30 p.m. in a key league matchup. The Lynx enter with a 16-6 record, while Chester stands at 17-10. CORE Butte won their previous meeting on September 25, taking it 3-1 behind strong performances from Reagan Coates, Mara Gonzalez, and Macey Ascherman. With playoffs approaching, the Lynx will look to keep their rhythm and finish league play strong.
It’s another packed Tuesday for CORE Butte athletics.
