This Thursday:
The CORE Butte soccer team will be coming back home to host the Loyalton Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. in their third Pioneer League playoff game. This matchup will also serve as CORE’s final game before All-Star selections are made, which will take place on November 1st. The Lynx enter at 5-8 overall and 4-4 in league play, sitting third in the Pioneer League standings. CORE has beaten Loyalton twice this season, 4-2 in August and 5-1 earlier this month, and will look to close out the playoffs strong after Tuesday’s 4–0 loss to Quincy.
Meanwhile, CORE Butte volleyball travels to Redding Christian for a league matchup. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., followed by Varsity at 6:30 p.m. JV sits at 5-8 overall (1-3 league), while Varsity holds a strong 17-6 record (5-1 league) and ranks second in the standings.
With fall sports nearing their conclusion, CORE Butte will look to carry their momentum forward and end the season on a high note.
