Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an animal? What would it be like to live in an ecosystem of all sorts of different animals and their day-to-day life? In Hoppers, a girl named Mabel had wanted to stop the mayor of her city from destroying the animal’s ecosystem. One way or another, she had found a way to become an animal herself, a beaver, big flat tail, buck teeth, and aquatic.
Once becoming an animal, Mabel was able to talk to other animals, and once going into their environment, she quickly learned that things had not worked at all like how we humans think they do. She saves another beaver from getting eaten, but quickly learns that things just don’t work that way, and that beaver was supposed to get eaten. In their world, there are 3 “pond rules”
- Do not be a stranger, know everyone’s name, and be friendly.
- Eat when you have to, if a predator is eating you, let em’! (which is the rule that Mabel broke)
- We are all in this together; everyone has gotta look out for others in need.
Most people know about the cell towers that get disguised as trees, but what about speakers that emit sound waves that hurt animals’ ears to the point that it drives them away because they can’t take the immense noise that the “trees” are producing? Well, that’s exactly what the corrupted mayor had done to these animals, all just so that he could build a road over their habitat.
Without spoiling too much, the CORE insider concludes that this movie is funny, emotional, tense, and quite the experience for a kids’ movie. With a very high 94% in rotten tomatoes ratings, the movie was truly a great movie that was worth the 10 dollar ticket.
