Last Thursday, at the Fellowship Hall, the CORE Butte theater class performed the play “The Alibis.” Those of you who were lucky enough to attend got to see a really good performance, with the theater team bringing in a sizable crowd, more than in previous years, according to actor Roux Horner.
The story is a silly whodunit about six people who all went to the birthday party of a wealthy man, who ended up being murdered during the party, and most of the play is about the suspects’ alibis. The majority of people who attended seemed to have enjoyed it, as evidenced by the amount of laughter and other happy sounds. Mr. E certainly stole the show with his stellar performance. Each part of the play was also well done, with the actors doing a great job in their roles.

I got a few chances after the show to speak with some of the actors, as I helped put some of the set away, and the ones I spoke to said that they had a pretty good time, only having slight worries, which are to be expected before a performance.
As well as the play, the show also had an art exhibit, with some amazing art by the students of CORE Butte, although I was unable to get many good photos of the art due to the lights being dimmed for the majority of the show, which made the photos subpar.
Overall, the play was fun to watch, and the art show was enjoyable too, so if anyone reading this ever gets another chance to go see a show by our theater class, I highly recommend it.
