On Jan. 24, CORE junior Emma Diaz-Infante is hosting her first art showing opening from 5-7 p.m in the LaRocca wine tasting room. The tasting room is located at 222 W. 2nd St. and the event is open for all ages to attend. While the event is Jan. 24, her artwork will be on display until the end of January. Emma’s various paintings and drawings will be featured on the walls throughout the room, with some pieces being advertised for sale.
Emma has been creating artwork since she was two, but started becoming particularly interested in it around 1st grade, she currently focuses much of her work on portraits. Throughout her years of efforts, she has favoured acrylic paints as her medium, although she does also use watercolors and color pencils. Emma is currently in Mrs Mooney’s Advanced Art class here at CORE.
Emma said she enjoys producing artwork because “It’s just my way of entertainment.” Throughout the years, Emma has always filled her spare time with artistic expression, and feels that painting is where she gets to show her strong suit most comfortably.

This show was so good! And great to see some CORE people there, too. Thanks!
