When conflicts are on the rise, militaries scramble to get the best technology for war. Today‘s hot technology is AI, and when the United States was choosing AI companies to deploy with, Anthropic was the first choice. All seemed like a deal would be made, with Anthropic allowing the government to use its AI for anything they want, with only two exceptions. One, no fully autonomous AI weapons, and two, no mass surveillance of U.S citizens.
Simple requests; no terminators, and no all-seeing eyes. However, America is a country of freedom and clearly doesn’t like limitations; in response, Trump calmly announces on Truth Social, “THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL NEVER ALLOW A RADICAL LEFT, WOKE COMPANY TO DICTATE HOW OUR GREAT MILITARY FIGHTS AND WINS WARS! That decision belongs to YOUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.” Further, he demands that all federal agencies stop using Anthropic’s AI.
Hours later, OpenAI announces it has struck a deal with the government, leading many to question what exactly they agreed to. Protests and boycotts broke out shortly after, with #QuitGPT trending across social media and sidewalk chalk art outside OpenAI headquarters in San Francisco, calling for people to stop using ChatGPT and switch to other AI models, such as Claude by Anthropic.

Since this happened, I switched to Claude, and it has been better overall. It seems to understand context much better, and it doesn’t hallucinate nearly as much. On top of that, it makes very impressive apps to help you understand a subject or make another tool for you to use.
The backlash against OpenAI has affected them, dropping ChatGPT from the #1 app on the app store and bringing Claude to replace it. I encourage anyone who feels compelled to swap to Claude.

How much stock does the author of this story have in Claude?

Anthropic (Claude’s parent company) is a private company, so the public is unable to own shares of its stock.
